About Laurens Holve

Osteopathy and Acupuncture in North London and Woking, Surrey

I think it’s important to tell you a little bit about myself and my experience so you know you are coming to someone with a wealth of training and experience.

I have always had an interest in medicine. Initially I did a degree in Physiology at UCL in London and did think about training to be a doctor but I wanted to do something different and that’s when I got interested in Osteopathic Medicine. After graduating as an osteopath in 1984, I began treating patients and embarked on post graduate training in Acupuncture. In 1985 I studied Acupuncture at Colombo South General Hospital in Sri Lanka and in 1987 at the Renji Hospital in Shanghai China.  I also did a stint at a Hospital in Bombay India.  In the last 10 years I also qualified in Medical Acupuncture which enables me to incorporate different methods of treatment.

I set up my private practice in 1984 and now have 2 clinics in North London and Woking.

I regularly attend continuing professional development events which means that my skills and training are up to date so I can give you a clear diagnosis and get you the help you require for your condition as soon as possible.

Finally ... .

I have been in full time practice since 1984 in North London when I founded the Camden Practice and since 1985 I have been running The York Clinic, offering osteopathy and acupuncture in Woking, Surrey.

My professional expertise is unique in that my rich training and experience enables me to draw on three medical disciplines: osteopathy, acupuncture and naturopathy. This offers the patient an extensive range of treatments to achieve clinically effective results.

I attend regular professional development seminars and I work hard keeping up to date with leading edge treatments in acupuncture and dry needling.

I also attend conferences at hospitals to stay up to date with  the latest advances in conventional treatment for some of the more common conditions.
